Valora Gurganious is a Senior Management Consultant with DoctorsManagement and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions and Practice Management Education.

Prior to joining DoctorsManagement, Valora spent four years as the COO of Central Florida Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center and nearly 10 years as a senior vice president with an investment advisory firm in Boston. She is a licensed Business Broker in the state of Florida.

Valora delivers measurable results to clients by blending her healthcare and finance expertise. Her strategic approach is easily implemented by clients, and helps them increase revenue as well as improve patient satisfaction and retention. She serves clients in all medical specialties and provides services related to operations, billing, coding, compliance, IT, accounting, marketing, and strategic planning. Along with a team of CPAs, JDs and MBAs within DoctorsManagement, she also advises physicians and hospitals on practice valuation, contract negotiation and transition of ownership.

Additionally, Valora contributes time to the DoctorsManagement University, which provides online and on-site educational and credentialing programs to physicians, practice managers, hospital executives and medical staff. DMU equips medical professionals with tools to better manage the "business of medicine," maintain excellence in patient care, and prepare to meet the challenges of healthcare reform.

She earned a bachelors of science degree from Vanderbilt University and a masters of business administration from Harvard Business School.

Valora resides in Huntsville, AL with her husband, Dr. LeRoy Gurganious, and their two active teen daughters.
